Archives For social media

This morning as I was doing my doing my daily look around Mashable, I came across this infographic that really spoke well to alot of thoughts lately. Some was great insight and other parts were affirmations to what we have been engaged with. For the full post you can go HERE on Mashable. The Infographic was designed and provided by Blue Glass

A year (and a few months) ago, I wrote a blog post that shared how I was leaving Kensington Church to step out in new ventures after my position was dissolved in an organizational restructuring. It was a difficult step to take but, I was welcomed with open arms at DBA Worldwide. They took a chance on me as someone who had no advertising agency experience previously. This last year was one that was filled with stretching as I stepped int o a whole new realm of experience. DBA Worldwide is filled with many great people and a great deal of good clients to work with. All that being said, there was a new step for me to take.

Recently, I accepted an offer to work with the team at Weber Shandwick. I will be joining on the Weber Shandwick team here in Detroit, to be a part of their social media group that works with clients like General Motors and the State of Michigan. Weber Shandwick is a leading global Public Relations company that is doing tremendous work all over the world; and I am honored to be a part of their team with the many wonderful and super smart people there!

I’ll be sharing more as the time unfolds and I am sure that if you follow me on Twitter, you will be seeing plenty information! :)

This is awesome…

Thanks to Social Media Week for bringing this to us!

I don’t think I have ever done this before. I am linking my personal blog with my “professional” blog (and I use professional loosely), but yesterday I ran across some new tools that I find highly impressive and inspiring. So… I am leaving the TED talk by Deb Roy, of Bluefin Labs here on this blog, but I have a greater write up at Edooce.com regarding the analytical tools that Bluefin is creating and how it impacts marketing and advertising.

The last bit of the presentation was just as impressive, as he talked about having this for his son when he gets older. It is truly a passing of a legacy that his son will surely take on and expand upon.
